Heirloom Tomatoes & Blue Jay Dressing

Try out this recipe for blue cheese dressing using Deer Creek’s The Blue Jay! For an easy yet elegant end-of-summer treat, top some gorgeous heirloom tomato slices with this tasty dressing and some crumbled bacon. We loved it!

What You’ll Need:

  • 4 oz of The Blue Jay, crumbled

  • 1/4 cup sour cream

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar

  • 1-3 tablespoons milk

  • Heirloom tomatoes

  • ¼ cup crispy, crumbled bacon

Directions:

Gently whisk together the blue cheese, sour cream, olive oil, and vinegar. Add enough milk to thin to desired consistency. The blue cheese dressing can be made up to four days in advance. Cover and refrigerate.

A couple other ways to enjoy Blue Jay Dressing are on top of a grilled steak salad or as a delicious dip for fresh veggies!
