For us, 2025 was all about curiosity in the kitchen—testing new ideas, revisiting old favorites, and saying yes to a few “why not?” moments along the way. We branched out, got our hands a little messier (hello, sourdough), and played with flavors and techniques that pushed us just outside our comfort zone. As we dream up what’s next and decide what we’re cooking up for you in the year ahead, here’s a roundup of the recipes you loved most from last year.

What a way to begin a new year! The Doe received recognition from Culture as one of the Best Cheeses for 2026. We are absolutely honored and excited to see this special cheese getting her flowers.

This might sound cheesy, but we love it when you try making our recipes. We put a lot of thought and care into creating them.  As you well know, sometimes dinners turn out great. Other times, well…maybe only so-so. When we are developing our recipes, there is one question we ask ourselves, “is it Deer Creek enough?” To us, that means we are so pleased with how it turned out that we cannot wait to share it with you. Cream puffs, adorable cows, cold beer, and live music are just a few things we love about the state fair. One of our favorites? The cheese competition! This past week, the results for the 2023 Wisconsin State Fair Dairy Products Competition were announced. Among all the awards given to many of the incredible cheeses made in our state we received four honorable spots on the podiums.

If Culture Cheese says it’s good, you know it’s good! Major thank you’s to the Culture team for sending some Indigo Bunting love our way. We’re so honored to be featured as one of their top cheeses for 2022.

On Thursday, December 1st, our morning was flooded with congratulatory emails, texts, and phone calls. News outlets had announced that one of our Cheddars was part of the trio of artisan cheeses to be featured at President Joe Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden’s first State Dinner for French President Emmanuel Marcon and his wife, Brigitte Marcon.

Our little company is so blessed to be able to stand hand in hand with all other Wisconsin brands and specialty cheesemakers. Competitions like the Wisconsin State Fair Dairy Products Contest truly spotlight the mastery of cheesemaking in the Dairy State.

Sharing cheese and sharing memories is a great recipe for a fun evening with family and friends.

We added nine new awards to our belt at the International Cheese & Dairy Awards in Nantwich, UK. These wins have brought the grand total of our brand’s awards to 119.
