makes approximately 36 crackers
What You’ll Need:
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup butter, cubed
2 cups Deer Creek 3 Year Reserve (for a rich & bold flavor) or 5 Year Private Reserve (for a sharp & savory flavor), shredded
2 teaspoons dried savory
1 tablespoon water
Freshly ground sea salt and black pepper
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375°F.
In a food processor, combine the flour, butter, cheese, and savory. Pulse or mix until a dough forms, adding the water as needed.
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough and cut into desired shapes. We used a variety of holiday cookie cutters for a fun, festive look.
Transfer the cutouts onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Sprinkle each cracker lightly with the freshly ground sea salt and coarsely ground black pepper. Using your fingertips, gently press the salt and pepper into the crackers,
Bake for 10 – 12 minutes until lightly golden brown. Carefully transfer the crackers onto a wire rack to cool.
