Highly awarded extra-mature cheddars that the proprietor is proud to call his own
5 Year: International Cheese Awards 2014 – Gold Winner
7 Year: American Cheese Society 2013 – 1st Place Winner
As cheese ages, nuances in body, texture, and flavor develop and change over time. Deer Creek’s team of Wisconsin licensed cheese graders work closely to hand select vats that have retained the taste, texture, and quality of a highly revered Cheddar, even after five years of aging. Very few vats can make it to this level and retain their superiority. We are proud to certify that Deer Creek 5 Year Private Reserve remains a truly outstanding Wisconsin Grade A aged Cheddar.
Deer Creek’s 7 Year Proprietor’s Grand Reserve Specialty Cheddar can best be described by the word “balance.” It is a balance of how the distinctively bold flavors give way to a rich, lingering finish. It is a balance of how the texture remains firm and smooth without becoming dry and crumbly. And it is a balance in taste, texture, and body that unfolds and becomes the one-of-a-kind extra mature Cheddar the proprietor is proud to call his own.
