And the 2017 winners are…

Two of the most prestigious cheese competitions were held this past week, bringing good things to the Deer Creek Cheese family. The International Cheese Awards held in Nantwich, UK, and the American Cheese Society Conference and Competition held in Denver, CO, blessed us with fourteen podium awards, including The Treif UK Trophy for Best Label Design. These wins bring us to a grand total of 60 top awards in the past seven years. Many thanks to all of those who make these award ceremonies happen. Check out the newest winners below!

The MoonRabbit received The Treif UK Trophy for Best Label Design, Gold for Best Label Design, and Silver for Cheese with Sweet Additives at the International Cheese Awards. Additionally, it won Second Place in the Marinated Cheeses category at the American Cheese Society Conference and Competition.


The Stag

The Stag received Gold for Best USA Extra Mature/Vintage Cheddar at the International Cheese Awards and First Place Best in Class for Aged Cheddar, 12-24 months, at the American Cheese Society Conference and Competition.

The Imperial Buck received First Place Best in Class for Mature Cheddar, 24-48 months, at the American Cheese Society Conference and Competition and Silver for Best USA Extra Mature/Vintage Cheddar at the International Cheese Awards.

The Robin received First Place Best in Class for Colby at the American Cheese Society Conference and Competition and Bronze for Best Label Design at the International Cheese Awards.

Our Vat 17 World Cheddar received Bronze for Best USA Mature Cheddar at the International Cheese Awards.

Our 7 Year Proprietor’s Grand Reserve Specialty Cheddar received Third Place Best in Class for Extra Mature Cheddar, aged over 48 months, at the American Cheese Society Conference and Competition.
