Pepperoni Pizza Hearts

What You’ll Need:
4 oz 1 Year Select AA Grade Cheddar, shredded
1 ultra-thin rustic white pizza crust
1 tablespoon olive oil
4 tablespoons pizza sauce
Pre-sliced uncured pepperoni
Kitchen shears
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 400°F.
To create the heart-shaped pizza crusts, divide your pizza crust into quarters by cutting it in half and in half again. You will have 4 triangles with rounded bottoms, which create an easy starting point when cutting the crust into heart shapes. Using kitchen shears, cut the top of the heart shape out of the rounded edge of the crust.
Place the pizza crust hearts on a foil-lined baking sheet. Rub the surface of each heart with olive oil, followed by the pizza sauce. Top each heart with a handful of the 1 Year Select.
To create the heart-shaped pepperoni slices, fold each pepperoni slice in half and, using your kitchen shears, cut half of a heart shape along the open edge of the pepperoni. When you fold them open, you should have a full heart shape. Place the finished pepperoni hearts on top of each pizza.
Tip: Save the pepperoni trimmings for a salad topping or an omelette mix-in!
Place the pizzas in the oven and bake for about 10 minutes, until the crust is cooked and the cheese is melted. When done, serve immediately and enjoy!
